It is estimated that at least 80% of women wear the wrong sized bra. It’s not hard to see why it really is a minefield. There is a lot of conflicting information out there. It stems from when bras were made from rigid fabrics and at least an extra 4″ would be added onto a band size to allow for weight fluctuations.

Now though, our bras are generally made from stretchy materials and therefore don’t need those additional inches adding to your band size.

There is a lot more that goes into a bra fitting and a professional fitter will not use a tape measure on you as there are a lot of different factors that are taken into account. The fitter will assess you and your body and will know what is right for you.

If you would like some advice on whether you are wearing the right sized bra please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the form below. This will give me a really good idea as to whether your bra fits properly.
